CHICAGO — Normally, a pitcher getting sent down from low-A ball to a rookie-league team doesn’t make headlines. But the circumstances surrounding Julio Castillo‘s demotion are hardly routine.
Castillo, the Peoria Chiefs pitcher who was arrested following the infamous Midwest League brawl on Thursday, is now a member of the Cubs’ Arizona League affiliate in Mesa.

Suspensions are sure to be issued in the coming days, which will certainly effect the look of Peoria’s roster come Tuesday, when the Chiefs face Kane County in the first-ever Minor League game at Wrigley Field.
